openji.ai ("the service") is an AI memorial service: you upload photos and a recording of a deceased loved one, and we generate short videos of them speaking to help you express what remains unsaid. AI-generated videos are not real footage. They are for personal memorial use only and must not be used to mislead, defraud, or impersonate.
Using the service requires a valid, verified email address. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time from the account page; upon deletion, your roles, uploads, generated videos and credits are permanently removed. We may suspend or ban accounts that violate these terms.
You may only create roles of a deceased person with explicit consent given by the person during their lifetime, or by their close relatives. Creating roles of anyone else — including celebrities, public figures and political figures — without authorization is strictly prohibited. We will delete such roles and suspend the offending account immediately; legal liability rests with the user.
Videos are billed per clip: 1 credit equals one video of up to 8 seconds. Creating a role pre-pays 1 credit and includes that role's first clip. Credits are purchased online; payments are handled by PayPal and charged in USD with receipts issued by PayPal. Credits for failed generations are refunded automatically. Credits are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Videos generated entirely with your free quota carry an openji.ai watermark; videos generated with paid credits do not.
All submitted lines and role details are screened by automated content moderation (an AI text model) before generation; content that does not pass will be rejected. You must not use the service to create:
Generated videos are kept for 7 days by default and then automatically destroyed; you may also delete them manually at any time. Deleting a role immediately destroys its face and voice data.
The service is provided "as is". AI output may contain imperfections and may not match your expectations; we do not guarantee accuracy or completeness. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the service.
We may update these terms from time to time. Updates are published on this page; continued use of the service constitutes acceptance.
